The Main Street Farmers' Market vendors are gearing up for a Fall Market to begin on Saturday October 5, 7:30 till 11:00 a.m. The Main Street Farmers' Market is located in the Pavilion west of the Depot on Front Street. Plans are to have a Market every Saturday morning until the first frost.
After three years of successful Markets in May, June, and July, customers began asking for the vendors to extend the Market. August heat cooked most of the gardens, but a few of the venders were able to keep the produce going. Vendors feel they will be able to provide a good selection of Fall produce after the great rain and with the cooler weather. In addition, expect the wonderful baked goods, eggs, tamales, home canned items, music and crafts that have been available at the Market.
New vendors are encouraged to participate. Main Street supports the Market and provides the space at no charge to vendors. They would love to see a big stack of pumpkins and fall plants made available for consumers. Customers, grab your shopping bags and come on down on Saturday mornings, it's a lot of fun.
